Johnny Depp had long been attached to The Lone Ranger, and now we have the first look at him as the Ranger’s trusty sidekick, Tonto. Looking at the image, it’s easy to see what drew Depp to the part. Basically, it seems like all director’s need to do is promise Depp a lot of makeup and costumes and he’s in. The part of the Lone Ranger will be played by Armie Hammer (The Social Network, Mirror Mirror). Currently, the film is scheduled to open May 31st, 2013.
